The AOI Quick Release System (QRS) allows you to quickly and easily switch between compatible wide-angle and macro wet lenses underwater, whether you use a compact camera, mirrorless camera or action camera. With so many different AOI mount bases, lens adapters and lens holders available, it can be difficult to know exactly which components you need. What Is the AOI Quick Release System (QRS)?
The AOI Quick Release System (QRS) is a quick-release mounting system (bayonet) that allows underwater photographers to easily switch between compatible wide-angle and macro wet lenses, without having to screw and unscrew the lenses each time. The system consists of a mount base attached to the underwater housing and a matching connection or adapter on the wet lens. Optional lens holders allow you to securely store unused lenses on the arm of your underwater strobe or video light.
AOI QRS-01 is designed for compatible compact and mirrorless camera underwater housings, while AOI QRS-02 is developed for compatible action camera underwater housings.

Which lens port does your underwater housing have?
We cannot automatically determine which AOI QRS mount base will fit your setup. Even if your port has an M52 or M67 thread, this does not guarantee compatibility with an AOI QRS mount base.

Step 3 Do you need a lens holder?
A lens holder allows you to securely store your wet lens during a dive by attaching it to the arm of your underwater strobe or video light.

What type of arm do you use for your strobe or video light?
A standard ball arm typically has an open-frame construction with a ball joint at both ends, or a YS connection at one end. It is attached using arm clamps. We recommend an arm of at least 8 inches. On shorter arms, the clamps may interfere with the lens holder.

2. Adapter for your wet lens
The AOI UWL-400A has an M52 threaded connection. This lens is intended for use with a suitable 52mm lens port.
You have selected a 67mm lens port. We do not recommend combining the UWL-400A with this port. A larger wide-angle lens would be a better option for your setup.

For side mounting a compatible QRS-02 lens holder to the arm of your underwater strobe or video light.
We recommend using a ball arm of at least 8 inches. With shorter arms, the clamps may interfere with the lens holder and limit movement.
An AOI float arm is compatible with a single QRS lens holder only. A double lens holder cannot be mounted on this type of arm.
