Shoe mounts for underwater camera housings
A shoe mount provides the link between the housing cold shoe and an arm system. By placing a ball base or a YS adapter into the mount, users can attach strobes or video lights.
This creates a stable starting point for modular rigs, supporting ball arms, clamps and adapters as part of a complete underwater lighting system.
Applications in modular systems
Shoe mounts are typically used when no tray handle is available, or as an extra connection point. They make it possible to mount lights on top of the housing instead of the tray.
For more guidance on choosing between arms and connection methods, see the blog the perfect arms for your underwater camera.
