Ikelite waterproof case for OM System or Olympus cameras
Olympus is transitioning to the name OM System. You'll still see both names used interchangeably. Whether your camera says Olympus or OM System, you’ll find the perfect fit in a Ikelite waterproof case. These housings are made from durable polycarbonate, offer excellent control access, and are depth-rated for serious underwater use.
Why choose an Ikelite underwater housing?
- Tailor-made for OM System / Olympus cameras
- Modular design with interchangeable ports
- Clear back for great visibility of your camera screen
- Precise controls for all key functions
Match your Ikelite housing with the right port setup
If you're using a camera with interchangeable lenses — such as a mirrorless system or DSLR — choosing the right port is essential. Ikelite underwater housings for these cameras have an open front where you attach a separate lens port. This modular design means your underwater setup always consists of two parts: the housing itself and the correct combination of port, port body, and possibly a focus or zoom gear.
Each lens requires a specific port. Macro lenses typically need flat ports, while wide-angle lenses use large dome ports that prevent vignetting and give you a wider field of view. Some lens–port combinations also require a port body (extension) to achieve the ideal distance between lens and dome.
To retain full control of your lens underwater, Ikelite focus and zoom gears are available. These let you zoom or focus your lens from outside the housing. See all options in our Ikelite gear section.
This setup doesn’t apply to compact cameras, as those have built-in lenses and integrated ports.

Bring back color and contrast with the right Ikelite strobe
Underwater, natural light fades quickly. Especially red, orange and yellow tones disappear within just a few meters. That’s why a good strobe is essential to restore color, contrast, and detail in your images. Without it, your photos often turn out blue or green and flat.
Ikelite strobes are designed specifically for underwater use and come in different models to suit every need: from compact options for travel to powerful strobes for wide-angle shooting or macro photography. They are fully compatible with Ikelite housings and sync easily via TTL or manual controls.
