Nauticam NA-FX5 underwaterhousing for Sony FX5

The Nauticam NA-FX5 underwater housing 17441 is designed for the Sony FX5 Cinema Line camera and professional underwater video production. It provides access to essential camera controls, uses the standard N100 port mount with manual locking ring and supports existing N100 ports, extensions and adaptors. The housing is rated to a maximum depth of 100 m and supports external HDMI monitoring.

N100 port system

The NA-FX5 uses the standard Nauticam N100 port mount with a manual locking ring. It does not use the N100 Auto Lock Port System II. Existing N100 ports, extension rings and adaptors remain compatible, allowing established N100 configurations to be used with the housing.

Controls and handling

Key controls used during video recording are positioned for operation from the housing handles. Record, ISO, iris, white balance and menu navigation can be accessed without moving the hands away from the main operating position. Stainless steel stiffening brackets support the handles when using a larger underwater video configuration.

Optical configurations

The N100 system supports a range of dome ports, macro ports and Nauticam water-contact optics. Compatible options include WACP, WWL, MFO, SMC and CMC systems. The correct port, extension, gear and optical configuration depends on the lens used with the Sony FX5.

External monitoring

An optional HDMI bulkhead and internal HDMI cable can route the camera signal to a compatible external monitor housing. This provides a larger external display for checking composition, focus and exposure underwater.

Vacuum and leak detection

A moisture alarm is integrated into the NA-FX5. An optional Nauticam vacuum valve can be used to pressure-check the housing seal before entering the water and monitor the vacuum status.
