SeaLife SportDiver S Underwater Smartphone Housing

Following the success of the SportDiver Ultra, SeaLife Cameras has introduced a new underwater housing for smartphones: the SportDiver S. This new housing brings back the more compact form factor of the original SportDiver, while maintaining broad smartphone compatibility. With a depth rating of 100 feet (30 meters), the SportDiver S goes slightly less deep than the Ultra’s 130 feet (40 meters) rating, but it delivers a similar user experience in terms of controls and performance. The housing is equipped with the same rectangular lens port found on previous models, allowing continued use of popular accessories such as the six-inch Wide Angle Dome Lens or the 52mm Wide-Angle Dome Lens when paired with the 67mm-to-52mm adapter.

A standout feature carried over from the Ultra is the Leak Avoidance System. This includes a pre-dive pressure test to confirm the seal is secure before you hit the water, and a built-in moisture sensor that will trigger an alert on the screen if water intrusion is detected. One notable difference from the Ultra is that the SportDiver S doesn’t include a red filter in the box. Instead, red, magenta, and yellow filters are offered as optional accessories.

For the phone’s safety and protection, the SportDiver S has a sturdy holding spring and rubber grip tabs that securely hold the smartphone in place and add shock-protection.  The SportDiver S has “Dual Leak Alarms” which include an internal moisture alarm and a vacuum pressure alarm which alert the diver with on-screen warnings, audio and LED signal in the unlikely event the waterproof seal is compromised and there’s a loss of housing pressure or moisture is detected.  The door of the SportDiver S is sealed with a TPE O-ring and a robust cam-lock sealing latch that easily and securely locks waterproof door.  To prevent interior fogging from residual moisture, the SportDiver S uses the anti-fogging agent “Moisture Muncher” capsule which prevents fogging and internal condensation.

Access popular camera settings – Intuitive SportDiver camera app layout and controls that utilize the smartphone’s native camera technology. Get creative by using advanced camera settings.  Select phone lenses. Adjust zoom, exposure, focus, white balance, aspect ratio. Shoot 4K video or RAW and JPEG image formats.  Note: Available settings vary depending on the phone make/model.  Some phone makers block certain features. Shoot photos or record video – Easily switch between photo and video modes.

Leak Avoidance System – A pre-dive pressure analysis gives you the assurance and confidence that the underwater housing is 100% airtight and waterproof before entering the water.  In the unlikely event of a leak while underwater, a secondary wet sensor alerts you of any water entry.

Sealed electronic circuitry to protect against damage from accidental water drops entering the housing when opening after diving.

Durable optical glass lens port design – Optical lens port accommodates most multi-lens phones including all iPhones up to Pro Max models, the Samsung Galaxy S24+ models and most other Android phones.

Available underwater color-correction filters that restore natural underwater colors. Red filter for most diving/snorkeling applications; Magenta filter for green or algae water; and Yellow for fluorescence imaging and certain blue water conditions (Filters sold separately).

Free SportDiver camera app ensures your privacy – No monthly subscription or in-app advertising.  No email or phone registration required.  SeaLife does not collect any personal data.   Free download available at Apple App Store or Google Play.

Playback photos and videos – App Playback mode shows full-size photos and videos with a vertical thumbnail strip to easily locate your shots.  Videos start playing automatically when selected.  All files are also saved to the phone’s photo app.

Bluetooth® wireless technology – UW housing automatically connects to your smartphone using Bluetooth® Low Energy BT5 wireless technology. No cables or buttons touch the phone.  Ultra-low power consumption.

Holding spring and rubber grip tabs securely holds phone in place and adds shock-protection.

Expandable with Sea Dragon underwater photo-video lights and underwater wide-angle / macro lenses.
