Sea&Sea MDX-R5 Housing for Canon EOS-R5, with leak sensor

The new MDX R5 is the perfect complement to Canon's new mirrorless R5 camera. The MDX-R5 is feature rich and all controls are ergonomically designed to maximize camera control. All major camera functions can be accessed via the handles with thumb or finger gestures without letting go of your grip. Sea & Sea optical converter and Sea & Sea manual flash trigger compatibility, port locking system plus removal and attachment of lenses while camera is still in the housing.

Compatible with both native RF lenses and all EF lenses (with holder). Additionally, a 24mm port is included for HDMI 2 cables for connection to an external video monitor to realize the full potential of the camera's ultra-high video capabilities. A built-in leak sensor and a baffle for external vacuum sensor provide double protection and more peace of mind for your camera gear while diving.

Bulkhead accepts the S&S Vivid housing vacuum leak sensor, or an optional 16mm step-down converter is available for third-party vacuum sensors. 24mm bulkhead allows connection of a 3rd party HDMI 2 cable for connecting an external video monitor

All important controls for the camera function can be easily operated without letting go of your grip on the handle, ensuring stability and security in all viewing situations

Compatible with all DX (NX) series ports, the camera can be easily removed from the housing, even with a large diameter lens mounted, making lens and battery replacement easy.

Leak Sentinel, which measures atmospheric pressure inside the case even on land, is now offered as a standard accessory model. Together with the conventional built-in leak sensor, the housing provides two warning systems for complete peace of mind and protection of your camera. An optional 16mm thread is also available to allow third party vacuum sensors to be mounted.

The gate lock prevents the gate from turning or loosening and the gate lock handle is specifically placed to prevent accidental release.

Compatible with S&S Optical YS Converter R which converts the strobe light emission signal from the camera to LED light and synchronizes with Sea & Sea YS flash units.

Also compatible with the Sea & Sea Manual Flash Trigger.
