Maintenance / service of your underwater housing

A permanently waterproof underwater housing with proper maintenance! We are happy to help you with a service for your underwater housing!

Good maintenance is very important to ensure that your underwater housing actually remains watertight! You yourself have an important role in this. In any case, by thoroughly inspecting and greasing the O-ring before closing the housing and by rinsing the underwater housing thoroughly in clean water afterwards. But also behind the various (push) buttons, controls and flash connections are also O-rings, which ensure the watertightness of the underwater housing and therefore need to be checked and maintained over time.

You can visit our shop in Oud Gastel (near Roosendaal) for a service of your underwater housing. We have a workshop with pressure tanks here, so that we can test the underwater housing for watertightness.

Pressure test

Pressure test to the maximum allowed depth of the underwater housing / strobe / lamp (max. 100 meters)
Part of the pressure test is performed with very small pressure to simulate the risk area just below the water surface.
The product is rinsed thoroughly and dried.
If desired, an official pressure test report is also issued for a small additional charge of € 10.

Service standard underwater housing (Canon/Olympus/Panasonic/Sony) for a compact camera

Servicing all push buttons and controls (manual and / or ultrasonic if necessary)
O-rings and springs are replaced if necessary. Unfortunately, Canon, Olympus, Panasonic and Sony do not have service parts for these standard housings. For truly necessary replacements, we “sacrifice” underwater housings to use parts from. A very expensive method, which is why we do not replace all the necessary O-rings and springs with these houses as a preventive measure. All o-rings and controls are of course cleaned (ultrasonic or manually) and greased again!
If the enclosure is in poor condition and would require significantly more than "normal" maintenance, you will receive a quote in advance.
The condition of the main o-ring (main o-ring) is checked and you will be advised whether or not it is due for replacement. The costs for a new head o-ring are not included in the price.
After maintenance, the underwater housing is checked by means of an extensive pressure test so that you are assured of a reliable and 100% waterproof underwater housing.

Standard Service Olympus PEN / OM-D underwater housing (system camera)

Service of all push buttons and controls (manual and / or ultrasonic if necessary) O-rings and springs are replaced if necessary. Unfortunately, Olympus does not have any service parts for these standard housings. For truly necessary replacements, we “sacrifice” underwater housings to use parts from. A very expensive method, which is why we do not replace all the necessary O-rings and springs at these houses as a preventive measure.
