Equipped with a 20.4-megapixel Stacked BSI Live MOS sensor, the OM-1 II delivers exceptional image quality, comparable to full-frame system cameras. The 4/3 sensor offers impressive resolution and vibrant color reproduction, ideal for capturing the rich hues of underwater environments. Additionally, the camera’s whisper-quiet shutter allows you to shoot without disturbing marine life, a crucial feature when photographing delicate creatures like fish and coral.

Thanks to AI-powered autofocus, the OM-1 II improves on the original OM-1, enabling precise tracking of underwater subjects such as fish, sharks, or even divers. The artificial intelligence ensures the camera continues to track faces and eyes even when partially obscured, such as when the subject turns or moves quickly in murky waters.

The OM-1 II lets you capture every moment with its new ProCapture mode, where you can record images at 120fps by simply half-pressing the shutter button. The camera's buffer has been more than doubled, allowing for 213 photos before the buffer fills up. You can shoot continuously with autofocus for up to 4 seconds, capturing fast-moving marine life in full detail. These photos are captured in 14-bit depth, offering greater image quality compared to the OM-1’s 10-bit.

Built to handle the most extreme conditions, the OM-1 II is fully sealed against water, cold, and dust, making it perfect for underwater photography. Its advanced sealing system ensures that you can dive into deeper waters with confidence. Furthermore, the camera features the LiveGND function, an integrated ND filter up to 128ND, giving you precise control over exposure, even in bright underwater lighting conditions.

The OM-1 II’s compact size and light weight also make it ideal for underwater vlogging or capturing short video clips for social media. You can easily film in vertical orientation, and the camera automatically adjusts the footage for easy post-production, saving you time and effort during editing.

Ergonomic and compact underwater housing 
The AOI underwater housing is compact, light and ergonomic and has a maximum depth of 45 meters.  AOI has a range of ports and rings available, so you can use all kind of lenses in this underwater housing. Use the port chart to check which lenses you can use in this underwater housing. There is no port included.

Built-in Vacuum Analyzation and Wet Detection System (VWS)
After placing the camera in the underwater housing and closing the casing, turn on the vacuum control system. The light will start flashing blue. Then, use the provided pump to create a vacuum in the housing. Continue pumping until the yellow light stops flashing and remains solid. Place the cap on and wait for 4 minutes. The system will now automatically check if the housing is indeed vacuum-sealed. The result of this test will be indicated automatically.

The underwater housing is also equipped with a leak detector. If water is detected inside the housing, a red light will illuminate and an audio alarm will sound.

LED Flash trigger built-in
To trigger external strobes this housing comes with a built-in LED flash trigger. Place the included Hotshoe connector in the hotshoe of the camera and connect it to the Multi-Controle device in the inside of the housing. On the front of the underwater housing, there are two LEDs connected to it. Using a fiber optic cable, the trigger signal can be transmitted to a optional external flash for manual lighting. Flashes that support the Olympus RC protocol can be controlled in TTL-mode (AOI RC strobes, Backscatter HF-1, Backscatter MF-2 for macro).
