Nauticam NA-X2DII underwater housing for Hasselblad X2DII 100C

The Nauticam NA-X2DII 17103 is an underwater housing for the Hasselblad X2DII 100C 100 MP medium-format camera. Machined from aluminium and rated to 100 m, it combines the N120 Hasselblad XCD port system with dedicated lens controls, ergonomic camera operation and integrated moisture and leak detection. The system supports selected Hasselblad XCD lenses with dedicated Nauticam gears and ports.

Camera and housing controls

The NA-X2DII provides a zoom/focus control knob and a separate dial for the Control Ring of compatible XCD lenses. The front and rear scroll wheels retain their rotating and clickable functions. Dedicated controls are also provided for the front Custom Button and rear AF-ON function.

Two handles with stabilising brackets are pre-installed. The control layout places frequently used camera functions within reach of the handles, reducing the need to move a hand away from the housing while shooting.

N120 Hasselblad XCD port system

The housing uses the N120 Auto Lock Port System II with a dedicated Hasselblad XCD mount. Selected XCD prime and zoom lenses can be combined with specific zoom gears, Control Ring gears, extension rings and ports. Consult the N120 Hasselblad XCD port chart for the correct lens configuration.

The port system includes configurations for wide-angle, standard zoom and macro use. Compatible configurations include selected XCD 20-35mm, 25mm, 35-100mm, 38mm, 55mm and 90mm lenses. Port and gear requirements vary by lens.

Flash connections

Optical flash control is supported through the housing's fibre-optic connections with the optional Nauticam 26330 manual Flash Trigger for Hasselblad. The 26216 Universal Optical Fiber Cable is required. Electrical flash connection is also possible with compatible optional bulkhead components.

Vacuum and leak detection

A moisture alarm and leak detection system are integrated into the NA-X2DII. The optional M16 Vacuum Valve II 25625 can be fitted to check the housing seal before entering the water. The vacuum and leak detection functions share the housing's monitoring system and provide audible and visual warnings.

The vacuum monitoring system is temperature compensated to reduce false status changes caused by variations in ambient or water temperature.

Mounting and accessory connections

The housing has one M24 and one M16 accessory port at the front and one M16 port at the rear. Mounting points include four 1/4-20 UNC and one M10 connection at the front top, plus three 1/4-20 UNC and six M5 mounting points on the bottom.
