Nauticam N50 Short port with M67 thread for wet wide angle lenses (widest focal length only)

The Nauticam N50 Short Port is carefully engineered for use with specific Nauticam underwater housings for compact cameras.

The short port solves the need for compatibility of some compact cameras with wet-mate wide angle conversion lenses.  This compatibility limit is due to the design type of many lenses.   The lenses of some compact cameras 'retract' as the lens is zoomed wide, and it gets longer as the camera is zoomed toward telephoto.  Thus when it is desired to shoot wide angle underwater shots, the lens 'backs up' away from the port; this means it may now be too far away from the wet-mate wide angle lens for proper optical alignment.  By installing the Nauticam N50 Short Port the wet-mate wide angle conversion lens will be very close to the camera lens.  The wide angle lens will then be properly optically aligned to the camera lens.

The N50 Short Port is called a short port because, well, because it is short.  Too short, in fact, to allow any adjustment of the camera lens.  You set the lens fully wide before installing the camera into the housing.  When using this port, the camera lens should never be zoomed at all. Compatible with Nauticam NA-G7X and Nauticam NA-LX100 housings.
