Nauticam CR2850-Z Zoom Gear Canon RF 24-50mm F4.5-6.3 Limit

The Nauticam CR2850-Z Zoom Gear enables controlled zoom operation of the Canon RF 24-50mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM lens inside a compatible underwater housing. The supplied limiter ring restricts the lens range from 24-50mm to 28-50mm. This configuration is required when using selected wet optics including the Nauticam WWL-1B, WACP-C and FCP-1.

The set consists of three components: a metal zoom gear, a plastic zoom sleeve and a limiter ring. The plastic sleeve mounts around the lens zoom grip, while the metal gear slides over the sleeve to engage with the housing zoom control. The limiter ring mounts near the lens bayonet and fixes the supported focal range.

Installation requires alignment of the zoom sleeve with the 28mm and 50mm lens markings visible through the sleeve openings. The metal gear is installed from the front of the lens with the gear teeth facing forward. The limiter ring is secured using two Allen screws.

If the zoom gear fit is too tight, the rubber grips on the plastic sleeve can be removed for adjustment. After installation, the lens should be tested inside the housing to confirm smooth zoom operation and correct limiter function.
