The Ikelite 200DL Underwater Housing for Panasonic Lumix G9 II is a camera housing for underwater photography and video with this Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera. Lens and port compatibility

The housing uses the Ikelite DL Dry Lock port system. A compatible DL lens port is required for a waterproof configuration and is sold separately. The lens port, any required extension rings, zoom gears and focus gears are selected according to the lens being used. Check the corresponding Ikelite Port Chart for each lens configuration.

Strobe triggering

An Ikelite bulkhead with hotshoe is provided for connecting external strobes. Optional configurations for TTL strobe triggering are available separately. The standard housing configuration supports manual electrical strobe triggering.

Ikelite underwater housings

Ikelite underwater housings are designed and manufactured in Indianapolis, USA. The housings use a durable plastic construction that also helps keep transport weight relatively low. External controls allow camera functions to be operated without opening the housing. A transparent rear section is a feature of many Ikelite underwater housings, keeping the camera and sealing area visible after the housing is closed so the assembly can be visually checked before use.

200DL series

The 200DL series is Ikelite's larger modular housing system for DSLR cameras, mirrorless cameras and selected cinema and video cameras. The series uses the DL Dry Lock port system, which has a larger port diameter than the more compact DLM system. This allows the system to be configured with a range of interchangeable lenses and matching flat or dome ports.

With a 200DL underwater housing, the port configuration is selected according to the lens being used. Depending on the lens, a specific port, extension ring, zoom gear or focus gear may be required. This makes the system suitable for different lens configurations with the same camera housing, but also means the complete setup should always be selected using the correct Ikelite port chart.

Current 200DL underwater housings have a maximum depth of 60 m. The 200 designation refers to the original depth class of approximately 60 m, while DL stands for Dry Lock. The series should not be confused with 50DL housings. These also use the DL port system but have a lower maximum depth.

Maintenance

Rinse the housing thoroughly with fresh water after use, paying particular attention to buttons, controls and sealing surfaces. Keep O-rings clean, undamaged and correctly positioned. Ikelite advises against aerosol lubricants because they can cause stress cracking in plastic components. Use only the specified lubricant when a particular seal requires lubrication.
