GoPro MISSION 1

The GoPro MISSION 1 is a compact action camera for videographers, content creators and underwater photographers who require high image quality in a durable camera. Its 1-inch sensor and GP3 processor deliver video recording up to 8K30, excellent low-light performance, 10-bit colour, HLG HDR and 32-bit float audio. It combines professional imaging features with a compact design that is suitable for action, travel and underwater use.

Underwater use

For diving, we recommend using an underwater housing. The GoPro Protective Housing extends the maximum operating depth to 60 m (≈197 ft). Divers requiring greater depth or a more robust construction can choose the aluminium ActionPro Underwater Housing, which is rated to 250 m (≈820 ft). An underwater housing also provides additional protection against prolonged exposure to salt water. Over time, salt crystals can accumulate around buttons and seals, causing the controls to operate less smoothly. In addition, an underwater housing enables the use of wet wide-angle and macro conversion lenses.

Video performance

The MISSION 1 records video up to 8K30, 4K120 and 1080p240. HyperSmooth video stabilisation and Horizon Lock help maintain stable footage during handheld, action and underwater recording. Dedicated recording modes include Dive, Sport POV, Vlog, Subject Tracking, Endurance and Night Effects.

Photo and audio

The camera captures still images up to 50 MP and allows frame grabs up to 33 MP from compatible 8K recordings. Four integrated microphones support 32-bit float audio recording with a wide dynamic range. External microphones can be connected via USB-C or compatible Bluetooth 5.3 devices.
