Backscatter Hybrid Flash Light Pipe

The Backscatter Hybrid Flash Light Pipe is an optical remote control accessory for the Backscatter Hybrid Flash. It allows a remote flash to operate without a cable by receiving optical signals from a camera-mounted Hybrid Flash or Mini Flash 2. Unlike a basic optical slave sensor, the Light Pipe receives both flash trigger signals and commands for changing the remote strobe's power level.

Flash compatibility

The Light Pipe is designed for use on a remote Backscatter Hybrid Flash. Optical control signals can be transmitted from a camera-mounted Backscatter Hybrid Flash or Mini Flash 2.

Signal control

The Light Pipe functions as more than an optical slave trigger. In addition to triggering the remote strobe, it receives optical commands used to change the strobe's power setting. This provides wireless optical control of a remotely positioned Hybrid Flash without running a control cable between the flashes.
