The AOI MDS-01-EP2-4-BLK consists of four compact extension plates for the AOI Modular Tray System (MDS). These 20 mm (≈0.8") spacers are often used together with the larger 50 mm (≈2") EP5 extension plates. The EP5 plates widen the frame. The EP2 plates additionally add extra height and additional width where needed.
Expansion for larger underwater housings
The EP2 extension plates are mounted on all four sides of the frame. This allows the modular tray system to be adjusted for larger underwater housings. This configuration is used for larger AOI OM System and Sony underwater housings where additional internal frame space is required.
Modular frame adjustment
The four 20 mm (≈0.8") extension plates function as modular spacers within the AOI MDS frame. By combining EP5 and EP2 extensions, the frame can be adjusted in both width and height. This allows the frame size to be configured more precisely for different underwater housings.
