AOI Float Collar for AOI UIS-P1
The AOI FC-02 Float Collar is designed specifically for the AOI UIS-P1 Ultra InTeLi Strobe. Made from Expanded Polypropylene (EPP), it adds buoyancy around the strobe body and reduces the underwater weight of the combined FC-02 and UIS-P1 setup to 35 g. Two silicone retaining rings are supplied with the collar.

The AOI FC-02 Float Collar is a dedicated buoyancy accessory for the AOI UIS-P1 Ultra InTeLi Strobe. It fits around the strobe body to compensate for its negative underwater weight and improve the balance of an underwater camera rig. AOI uses Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) for the collar, combining low weight with a structure designed to retain its shape under pressure. With the FC-02 fitted, AOI specifies an underwater weight of 35 g for the combined collar and UIS-P1 strobe.

Buoyancy and rig balance
AOI developed the FC-02 to offset the UIS-P1 strobe's negative underwater weight. The collar itself has a specified underwater weight of -141 g. When combined with the UIS-P1, AOI specifies an underwater weight of 35 g for the complete strobe and collar combination, reducing the load that has to be balanced by arms or other buoyancy components.
