Underwater strobes for photography rigs

A strobe connects to a housing via an arm system, providing illumination where natural light is insufficient. This is essential for capturing vibrant colours and sharp images below the surface.

Strobes are available in different power levels and control options, making them suitable for both wide-angle and macro photography.

Using strobes with arms and clamps

To attach a strobe securely, an arm system is required. Ball arms or flex arms extend the strobe away from the housing, while clamps allow precise positioning.

This modular approach ensures stable and adaptable lighting control in different underwater environments.

Choosing the right strobe

The best strobe depends on depth, subject and shooting style. Power output, recycle time and compatibility with triggers all influence performance under water.

  • Provide short, powerful light bursts
